Hansel and Gretel
Hansel and Gretel is a personal project to illustrate a children’s book. I am working through the entire process of initial character designs, creating a book sunny and final illustrations.
I love drawing animal character so I chose to make the children and father bunnies, the witch is a fox and the evil stepmother is a weasel. This has been the most fun phase so far - I could sketch and design little characters all day!
After sketching out animal designs, the character has appealing shapes but not much personality. In this phase I take my characters and draw them with different poses and expressions - imagining what each character would get up to in their day.
